Privacy Policy — Mietec GmbH

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy is issued by Mietec GmbH, a company registered in Switzerland (UID CHE-364.036.829), with its registered office at Tychbodenstrasse 3, 4665 Oftringen, Canton Aargau, Switzerland ("Mietec GmbH", "we", "us", "our").

Mietec GmbH operates several business activities, including:

Ulgio — a SaaS platform providing AI-powered virtual assistants that handle phone calls, WhatsApp Business messages and web form submissions on behalf of business customers (ulgio.com);
RedHat Garage — a vehicle workshop and vehicle rental business (redhatgarage.ch).

This policy applies to the websites mietec.ch, ulgio.com and redhatgarage.ch, and to the services provided through them.

2. What data we collect

Business customer account data: company name, contact person, email address, phone number and billing details, provided when a business signs up for one of our services.
WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) data: when a business customer connects their own WhatsApp Business Account to Ulgio (via WhatsApp Embedded Signup), we receive and store the WABA ID, phone number ID, message templates, and an access token issued by Meta, strictly to operate the connected account on that customer's behalf.
End-user message and call data: the content of WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and web form submissions exchanged between our business customers and their own end customers, processed so that our AI systems can generate and route responses.
Workshop / rental customer data: for RedHat Garage, vehicle and service records, appointment details, and contact information necessary to provide workshop and rental services.
Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, and usage logs of our websites and dashboards, for security and troubleshooting purposes.

3. How we use the data

To operate connected WhatsApp Business Accounts: send/receive messages, manage message templates, and register phone numbers on behalf of the business customer who granted access.
To provide AI-generated responses to end-user enquiries on behalf of our business customers.
To schedule, invoice and deliver workshop, rental and customs-related services.
To bill business customers for the Ulgio platform service (Meta bills WhatsApp message usage separately, directly to the business customer).
To maintain, secure and improve our platforms and websites.

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use WhatsApp Business Platform data for purposes other than providing the service requested by the connected business customer, in line with Meta's Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business Policy.

4. Who we share data with

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — as provider of the WhatsApp Business Platform, message content and account metadata pass through Meta's infrastructure to be delivered to end users.
Infrastructure and hosting providers (including Supabase, Hetzner and Cloudflare), acting as data processors under contract, solely to host and run our platforms.
Payment providers (e.g. Stripe), solely to process subscription and service payments.
We do not share data with any other third party except as required by Swiss or EU law.

5. Data retention

Message, account and service data is retained for as long as the business relationship or subscription is active, plus a limited period required for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes under Swiss law. Business customers may request deletion of their data at any time — see Section 8 below.

6. International transfers

Data may be processed in Switzerland, the EU/EEA and the United States (via Meta's and our infrastructure providers' data centers), under appropriate safeguards (the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, EU GDPR standard contractual clauses).

7. Your rights

Business customers and end users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing, by contacting us at info@mietec.ch. Business customers can disconnect their WhatsApp Business Account from Ulgio at any time, which revokes our access to their WABA.

8. Data Deletion Requests

If you would like us to delete your personal data or the data associated with your account (including any WhatsApp Business Account data connected through Ulgio), send a request to info@mietec.ch with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", including the email address, phone number or business account name associated with your data.

We will process and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g. accounting records under Swiss law). We will confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections, access controls, and least-privilege API tokens — to protect the data we process.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to business customers by email or through our dashboards.
